NETWORKER: Our
official newsletter published each month from September
through June. Our newsletter contains "cutting
edge" news of particular interest to the growth and
development of employers.
Membership
Directory (Members Only): This publication
contains descriptive information about our various member
organizations as well as the Association's Networking Directory.
Employers'
Legal Hotline:
Tom Revnew, an Attorney with Seaton Beck Peters Bowen &
Feuss, will field telephone calls involving labor and employment
law as a free service to SCVEA Members. Calls on these issues
are intended to consume less than 15 minutes and are limited
to two per member during a six month period. They will not
include excessive research, review of documents, drafting,
litigation or charge or grievance handling or response.
Discounted
Admission to Seminars, Workshops & Meetings:
The SCVEA provides professional development seminars, workshops
and special meetings. The fees for such events are
often discounted for employees of member organizations.
Announce
Jobs & Employees: Member organizations may
announce job vacancies in the NETWORKER. In addition,
employers may announce the availability of qualified employees
who are excess to their needs.
Collaborate:
Leaders and managers in our member organizations have the
unique opportunity at association sponsored meetings and
social events to come together, network and resolve mutual
business and employment issues.
Partnerships:
We have partnership arrangements with other community
organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, allowing
our members greater participation in training programs and
networking.
